Hilton Plans to More Than Quadruple its Presence in The Kingdom

Reflecting Saudi Arabia’s progressive strides in becoming a global hub for travel and tourism, Hilton has unveiled its blueprint to launch more than 50 new hotels across 10 distinct brands, solidifying the nation’s status as Hilton’s prime growth market within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Hilton’s dynamic expansion trajectory in Saudi Arabia has gained momentum in recent years, marked by a series of signings that align with the company’s commitment to augment its portfolio to encompass over 75 operational properties throughout the country.

This surge in signings encompasses a Conrad Hotels & Resorts property in Riyadh’s Laysen Valley and two hotels in the captivating Abha, including one operating under the famous Hilton Hotels & Resorts banner and another under the distinctive Canopy by Hilton brand. The growth extends to the Canopy by Hilton establishment at the vibrant Porta Jeddah Development.

Hilton’s comprehensive growth strategy, embracing a diverse range of brands, will usher in a wave of new hotel unveilings, spanning 10 of the brand’s renowned labels. These encompass LXR Hotels & Resorts, Canopy by Hilton, Embassy Suites by Hilton, and Hampton by Hilton, collectively positioning Saudi Arabia as Hilton’s most significant upcoming market across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).

Carlos Khneisser, Vice President of Development for the Middle East & Africa at Hilton, underscored the brand’s remarkable journey in Saudi Arabia, stating, “The rapid evolution of Saudi Arabia provides fertile ground for Hilton’s dynamic growth. We’re in close collaboration with our proprietors to introduce our acclaimed hospitality brands in existing and emerging locales nationwide. These recent agreements epitomize our diversified expansion strategy, particularly in substantial developments like Laysen Valley in Riyadh, highlighting our dedication to unlocking tourism potential in secondary cities.
