Ahead of the G20 Summit, the Saudi Arabia flag is gracing Delhi’s skyline.

Saudi Arabia’s and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) national flags, along with others, are prominently displayed on New Delhi’s cityscape, serving as a prelude to the highly anticipated G20 Summit. A total of 43 national flags are showcased, representing a broad spectrum of countries that will be attending the event.

In a suburb of New Delhi, a specialized area named the “G20 Park” has been dedicated solely to this international event. Not only does it proudly fly the national colours of the UAE, but it also represents other Arab nations that are participating, starting this weekend and leading up to the main event.

From this weekend onwards, as one casts an eye over New Delhiā€™s vast skyline, it’s impossible to miss the fluttering national flags of not just the UAE and Saudi Arabia but also of Oman and Egypt. These visuals come just days before the G20 Summit that’s scheduled for September 9-10.

This significant gathering sees the participation of these four Arab nations, which are part of the larger group of 28 countries and 15 globally recognized organizations. They are all set to attend the 18th edition of the G20 Summit, which will be located at the heart of India’s sprawling capital city and span over two days.

If you find yourself in the city, these flags are a sight to behold, marking their presence almost everywhere. Specifically, for those journeying from the Delhi airport, these flags can be observed lining the path leading to the Pragati Maidan complex, the official venue of the Summit. Moreover, another 43 sets of distinct national flags, representing the diverse participants, are strategically aligned on the roadway that connects the airport to a notable memorial, Rajghat, as reported by WAM.

Returning to the “G20 Park”, it’s not just the national colours of the Saudi and other Arab countries that one can find. This park has been adorned with flags of all the nations that are in attendance, making it a microcosm of the global representation at the Summit.

Adding to the grandeur, the city has installed large LED screens, which are dedicated to displaying various themes related to G20. Alongside, several visually appealing fountains have been erected, and coloured vibrantly. These are not merely decorative additions but are integral to the city’s beautification initiatives, aimed at enhancing the experience for the leaders and dignitaries attending this high-profile assembly.
